PRIVACY

Your answers are for your review, not a marketing list.

OwnWay Health is operated by The MPE Group LLC. Contact mark@ownwayhealth.com about privacy or deletion.

Page-view measurement

This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookieless, privacy-first measurement of page views; no form answers are sent to it. On the call and second-opinion pages we also count steps (for example, choosing a served state, starting or sending the second-opinion form, the calendar loading, or a completed booking) with our own counter. It stores only the step, the day and the campaign source tag from the link you followed. It uses no cookies and stores no IP address, name, email or answers.

The second-opinion form

No account, last name or documents are needed. We ask for your state and ZIP code, who needs coverage and their ages (not dates of birth), whether anyone uses tobacco, your monthly premium, your deductible and type of plan if you choose to share them, your estimated household income (or that you’d rather not say), yes-or-no health questions based on the ones short-term health plans ask (a current pregnancy, adoption or fertility treatment; tests, treatment or surgery recommended in the last 12 months but not done; symptoms without a diagnosis; regular prescriptions; and doctors you need to keep), whether anyone who would be covered had treatment, a doctor visit or a prescription in the last 5 years for any of a listed set of condition categories (such as heart, diabetes, cancer, mental health, alcohol or drug dependency, or HIV), and if so which categories apply to you, your spouse or partner, or your children. You can choose “Prefer not to say”. Then your first name and your email.

Why we ask: your ZIP code and ages set the prices available in your county. Your estimated yearly income for your tax household is used only to check whether a tax credit (subsidy) could lower your premium. The health questions tell Mark which kinds of plans your family could qualify for, since short-term plans ask about health and Marketplace plans don’t. We ask only for categories. We do not ask for medication names, doses, treatment dates, free-text medical history, addresses, Social Security numbers, policy numbers or uploads. Once you provide an email, your request is not anonymous.

What happens when you send it

Cloudflare processes the submission and security checks. Our Worker then saves your request as two separate records, each encrypted with its own key, in OwnWay’s Dropbox:

  • Contact record: your first name, email, state and ZIP code, who needs coverage, your premium, deductible, type of plan and income estimate.
  • Health record: ages, tobacco use and your health answers, labeled by role (for example “Primary applicant” or “Child 1”). It has no name, email or ZIP code.

A third small encrypted file records only the status of Mark’s notification email for your request: sent, not confirmed, or refused.

The two records are linked by a code that only Mark’s signed-in review page can work out; the request reference you see and the booking calendar don’t reveal it. Mark’s notification email contains your first name, email, state and request reference, and no ages or health answers. If that email can’t be confirmed, Mark gets a daily check-in email that lists only request references. The encryption keys are kept by our Worker, not in Dropbox.

Mark reviews your answers, records a video and emails you personally, with a summary file prepared without any AI model. Nothing is sent to you automatically, and we do not sell your information or enroll you in marketing. This separation limits who can see your health answers; it does not make them anonymous.

There is no automatic deletion schedule yet. Mark deletes these files when he no longer needs them, and you can ask for deletion at any time at mark@ownwayhealth.com. When a request is deleted, one small encrypted file stays: it holds only a scrambled code for the request and the time it was deleted, so that resending the same form can’t bring the request back. It contains no name, email or answers. Deleted files can remain in Dropbox’s version history for a limited time under Dropbox’s terms, and the notification email remains in the email systems used for this service until deleted. We do not intentionally log request bodies. Cloudflare processes ordinary hosting and security information, and temporary rate-limit counters expire after their short security window.

Renewal reminders and the waitlist

If you ask for a renewal reminder, or to hear when OwnWay serves your state, we ask for your first name, email, state and the month your plan renews. Our Worker emails those details to Mark's review inbox through AgentMail, with the same security checks as the second-opinion form. Mark emails you personally. There is no newsletter or automated sequence, and we do not sell your information. Reply “stop” or email us to be removed.

Tools you choose

The cost calculator and comparison workspace operate locally in browser memory. The library and the call page can put a two-letter state in the page address. Form answers are not put in URLs or browser storage. Scheduling uses Cal.com and Google Meet, with their privacy terms. After you choose a served state, the booking calendar on the call page loads from Cal.com, with your state filled in on its form. Campaign tags from the link you followed (such as utm_source) are passed to Cal.com so we can see which posts lead to calls.

After you send the second-opinion form, the booking calendar loads from Cal.com with your first name, email, state and a short request reference (a random code, not your answers) filled in on its form, so you don’t type them twice. Cal.com receives these in the address of its booking frame to show that form; see its privacy terms for how it handles them. No ZIP code, premium, income or health answers are passed to the booking calendar.

If you upload your second-opinion summary or documents to ChatGPT, Claude or another AI, you are choosing that transfer. That provider's terms apply. Review and remove personal details before sharing; OwnWay does not receive that external chat. There is no hosted AI inference in this release.
